Buzzer is a startup in Hong Kong offering on-demand personal IT concierge service for consumer market. I lead my team of multidisciplinary designers to create the brand and visual system design based on consumer research insights. We collaborated with client's development team from India in the UX flow and UI design for both website and APP.

Design Process

The brand development process started with a user research to learn the consumers pattern in IT product maintenance of different demographics. Insights show that women at age 25-40 would be Buzzer’s ideal customers hence the brand is crafted for this targeted audiences at the launch period. Worked directly with the founders, my role is to translate founders’ visions into a brand mantra and brand identity system. One of the brand missions is to minimize e-waste by giving a second life to the product. I collaborated with the content development and graphic design teams to align the brand voice and visual in social media presence and partnered with PR team in the brand launch in communicating this message to the targeted audiences.

Result

IT repair services is not new, but we created a buzz by establishing a effective brand strategy and refreshing design. Buzzer won an “Enterprising HK Brand Awards” in 2017 and was nominated for

the “Best website HK Award” in service categories.
