Fresenius Medical Care (FME) Asia Pacific's Digital Transformation Team engaged my company to develop a creative strategy for launching a brand new intranet site. Low users usage and engagement were one of the problem with previous version and client want a fresh look and fun way to debut this new platform.

Creative Process

My team started with brainstorming for a name and we have decided to use a person's name to give a life to the platform and build an emotional connection with the employees. We picked names starting with F to stands for FME and Franki was chosen for the goal of opening communication, being Frank! The "i" stands for information and interaction which is what the intranet is offering.

Creative Strategy

Custom character design would be appropriate for bringing Franki to life and act like an ambassador of the intranet. (The look of Frank is actually inspired by the CEO...shuu, don't tell him) The launching strategy starts with a "branded apple" to give away in the pantry, generating a buzz, follow by a "Let's find Franki" contest to engage with the employees. We worked with the IT department to implement the custom design desktop image and invited the CEO to participate in a duo with Franki for the launching video. We created a set of graphics and illustration to support the messages and training for the intranet.
